Oh jeeps, I didn't realize I had stumbled into the cat forum! My bad, and apologies to the OP!

Still hope your Charlie makes it.

Checking for an update. When my boy's started they were coming every hour or even more frequently, except when he slept. Thankfully the phenobarbital quickly controlled them.

Obsessively checking for an update. Having been through something similar many years ago, I seem to need to hear that everything is going to be okay for Charlie, too.

Well today has been really awful. Charlie had 8 seizures that I saw and I took him to the vet earlier than his original appointment. She evaluated him and everything was good, but his vision. He was not responding visually.

She took blood and gave him valium to calm him. He had a high blood glucose which she thought was probably from all of the seizure activity. His Potassium level was low. She wanted us to take him to the ER for monitoring and we did.

He has an IV for fluids and medication. They are monitoring. When I called they told me he is doing well but still having tremors. He has been doing that for the last week or so, separate from the CH.

I gave him his love before we left him and he put his paws up on my shoulders. =(

Today has been gutwrenching. Now I know how all of my family has felt over the years watching me have seizures. I have never seen one until today, and today I saw many. My face is one huge puffball from crying. I went right to sleep as soon as we got home and just got up about 20 minutes ago. It didn't help that last night was the night I take my Methotrexate which is a chemo for my rheumatoid arthritis. That usually makes me like a zombie the next day.

Thank you all for thinking of us today, we have such a wonderful family here. Kitty Katty has been giving me lovins and talking to me. When I called the er vet they told me Charlie has been yelling at them for his attention and love.

I feel so bad to have to leave him but I know it was the best thing.

We are about $900 bucks down so far. I would have never been able to afford that and Jamie never batted an eye. I asked him which er he wanted to go to and he told me the best one...

xoxo to you all.
