Aw, such a beautiful little guy, so sorry to hear of his passing. You called it right when you said "broken heart". I have felt that way and shed a lot of tears when each of our 4 got older and had to go.

All we can do is put it in perspective by thinking of the wonderful, loving home we shared with them and how much they enriched our lives during that time. So many poor cats never get to know how it feels to have a home to call their own and a parent who loves them as much as we love ours.

Loved the part about the Cheetos.

Glad to hear you're going to adopt another kitty, and not going to wait too long. As hard as it is to lose one of our furkids, it's also an opportunity to give another a loving home if you can.

I'm sorry to hear about Toonces; he was a pretty boy - and he sure sounds like he was a mischievous one as well!

Good luck being chosen by a new furry friend!

That is true. Some people feel the new cat is a replacement cat, but we all know no cat can truly ever replace the one we loved for so long. However, life goes on and you will give another little kitty the same love and care you gave Toonces, and save him/her from a not so great life otherwise.

When Scooter and Sniffy passed I swore I never wanted another cat, too painful to lose them. Then Lucky showed up under a car in traffic one day and my Son rescued him, and the rest is history. I am so glad he came into my life.

I'm so sorry for your loss. May he run free and happy at the Rainbow Bridge.

Hey everyone!!!

I have a Toonces update.

My husband was really missing him after he passed so I decided to go hunt the shelters for a Toonces look-a-like and found him!

We named him Jonsey and he is a riot. Tons of energy and he has a couple of interesting quirks!

One is that he is obessed with his toys, especially if it has a stick attached to it. He will play fetch and constantly brings it to you. If you ignore him, he brings it closer and then stares at you until you pick it up and play with him.

He also has an obession with small rugs with a plastic backing. He treats it like a toy and carries it around everywhere. We have one bath mat that has gone missing and we have no idea where he put it.

Soooo, for about a month after we got him it was pretty clear that he needed a kitty friend. This cat has alot of energy!

So, we went back to the shelter and got Sophie!!! She is the biggest lovebug. The loudest Purr I've ever heard (she sounds like a little piggy). And I'm proud to say that they have become best buds.

They are soooo cute together. They are always playing and when they aren't they are cuddled up so close that they are practically laying on top of each other.

So glad we rescued them and just had to share with all my kitty loving friends in this forum!

Not sure if they're little angels or little demons but they sure are cute!

Glad you made that decision.

Geez... those two need to get a room somewhere (pic #3).

Glad you didn't wait too long to re-feline yourselves, and looks like your new kitties made the right choice in picking their humans.
Congratulations, and thanks for the update.
