I was going to just ignore that bit of dis-information.

My township has a LOT of native wildlife.

Bear, moose, deer, turkey, bobcat, beaver, fishercat, ermine, eagle, .....

I am not aware of any effect on the local fauna caused by housecats, outside of a very limited effect on shrew, mice, frog, salamander and newt.

So what you are saying is that you keep "feral cats". Very simple, they are not pets.
