Yeah, something like that. Glad I'm not the only sucker in the world (no offense).

Offense not taken. I have a big "Sucker" sign on my forehead that only cats can see.

Tiger died this morning. Congestive heart failure...turn out he had two clots in his hind legs. Holding the paw up could have been a clot in his front leg...if this happens to anyone else please get your cat looked at. I'm so beyond devastated

How shocking! I am so very sorry.
I have become much less of a wait-and-see pet owner after losing a dog who had had very vague signs of not feeling well, so vague that the vet didn't know what to look for beyond a physical exam and blood work at first. When he began felling a little worse and showing specific symptoms, his aggressive cancer had progressed too much. But that is the problem-early on with an illness, the vet may not be able to pinpoint what to look for. Most likely s/he would have found nothing special on a physical exam, put it down to a strain, as we did, and recommended more wait-and-see. I hope you aren't beating yourself up with thoughts that you could or should have done more. People tend to feel that way after the loss of a pet, but it seems you did everything right. Again, I'm sorry for your loss.

So very sorry to hear this terrible news. I never would have thought of a blood clot problem.

So sad about Tiger, and my heart goes out to you Jen.

RIP little guy.
