Three-step, I loved that commercial. I've used that phrase "cat herder" to describe trying to coordinate nearly impossible things with impossible people since I had seen that commercial.

About Izzi's chattering, that is a common characteristic of a Mainecoon, I really think she is at least partly if not all. My cat Allie does it a little, but some do it more distinctly. But it really doesn't matter what she is she is beautiful. Hope to get some updated pictures soon!!!

Three full bellies and all is well at least until Izzi is awake. It is so funny to watch when she realizes that her fluffy tail is attached and she has to take it with her. She has fur boots growing, long hair between her toes. Have I introduced Ghosty to CD? She is number four, the one who leaves dust kitties behind doors, rolls up rugs, hides toys under the sofa and sheds like there is no tomorrow. She is our go-to cat when someone needs to be blamed. Ghosty

The vet suggested that she has some Maine Coon but based on her small feet and malnourishment she will be around ten pounds as an adult. She is loved, being spoiled rotten and demanding to be crown princess

This morning she escorted SO to the kitchen for breakfast then she gave me the "starving unless fed immediately" chatter. All three were in position by the time I was in the kitchen.

I love this kitten! I think things will be ok with cha cha. This is very normal. What is always hilarious to me is that the kitten never seems to even notice the animosity! They are too busy being kittens. But I saw with my last one she did notice it and set about pay-back when she was a bit older. Started stealing the beds of her big sis. I had to start paying extra attention to that and constantly making a new bed, with no cooties, for the big sis. She wouldn't rest on anything that horrible kitten had used. LOL! I have a stack of those little fleece blankets that can easily be put in the wash and make a 'new' bed out of the one that had been defiled by the interloper.

It has been a couple of days.

Izzi has settled into the routine of getting SO out of bed and herding him to the tray with bowls/food. Whip out or in her case tail up. She is eating like a horse! Still skinny though. I really want her to have some reserves for her surgery 01/12/2018. ChaCha is simply green eyed. She will walk away from her food to sit right next to Izzi but does not push her away. ShadowCat is the mellow one. She knows it will be forthcoming.

Izzi has discovered the pleasures of getting brushed:>) She squirms, talks and purrs all at the same time. Time to break her from scratching rugs after eating! That is what scratch posts/boards are there for.

I had all three in the office at the same time. Fussball for kittens anyone? Take a mushroom box (sturdy card board, 2 inch sides), add a small ball with a bell, add kitten, enjoy!

So far no Christmas tree. This adventure will happen Friday. Should I contact our home insurance first?

Might not hurt.

Loving your commentary on how things are going, btw.

Way back when, when I was in high school, and later, I adoped a cat who came to our door and walked right in. He hopped on Dad's lap and Dad was converted. But it was quite a surprise when the tree was tilting at an odd angle after he had it up with all the light, no bulbs yet.

He went out and got a piece of wood, and tacked it into the wall. And he tied the tree to it. The cat still thought it was his toy, and LOVED the shiny ordiments, but no unplanned crashes. My advice is see if you can tie the tree upright to something and then decorate. Better safer than sorry.

New kitties are such an adventure.

Also, don't put wrapped presents there until your ready to open. Kitten just LOVE ripping up shiny wraping paper.

No presents under the tree this year. Yes, the tree will be hung from the ceiling with trip wire.

Houston - we have a problem! Izzi went into heat. How do these sounds come out of such a tiny body? Naturally she picked the hallway to our bedroom most of last night to sing to her imaginary lover as it has perfect acoustics.

Her appointment is 01/12/2018 as everything seems to shut down here for the holidays.

I understand she is not in pain just announcing her presence. Whiskered teenager in Daisy Dukes and high heels so to say.

How long does this last? SO looked pretty rough after a night with almost no sleep.

ChaCha is a bit confused about the whole thing. She followed Izzi around this morning with big question marks on her face. Did not even hiss. She is now coming to visit me around 5:00 to get a head scratch and take over my pillow. Happy feet!!!

Watch out. When one of my cat went into heat before I got around to fixing her she prowler by the door trying to get out. I don't think she ever stopped her yowling until she got fixed, about 3 weeks later. Yikes, not pleasant.
