It warms my heart to know that there are now considerable efforts to help the animals, as well as people, during natural disasters such as this. Despite the negativity in the daily media, I believe we as a society continue to evolve for the better.
Bless all those folks who go the extra mile to help those animals in need.

also the team spirit between the rescue groups. Maybe I was unaware of it before but that seems a relatively recent thing.

Yeah, perhaps they always have, but we are hearing more about it now. But I think the advent of the internet has made that coordination easier & faster.

Our humane soc drove 9 hours each way to pick up cats...
they then dropped a few off here and there at other humane soc on the way back.
