My son and his wife live just outside NYC in Hoboken, NJ. They recently passed a pet store and saw 2 half grown kittens in the window. Seems the shop owner was "fostering" them for a local shelter - they had been found wandering together 2 months prior (estimated at that time to be 3 months old) on the busy streets of Jersey City. They were scrawny and dirty. They (both boys) were taken in and fostered. My son fell in love with them last week and inquired about adoption. He filled out all the necessary paperwork, was notified Wednesday that they could adopt the boys. The kittens now have a wonderful home! My son said they are so lovable. The fostering pet shop owner was kind enough to provide them with a huge bag of food/litter and a cat tree to play on. One of the boys has scars on his cornea from an eye infection but his vision is ok. I'm so happy for these little guys!

And one more. I think they've decided to name them Goose and Maverick - from Top Gun.
