She looks good. You've done a great job taking care of her.

My dad saw her around the creek about a block away. I'm not sure if that's where she had them or not.

I fed the momma cat and the feral today. A little while ago I looked out there and saw a larger cat with medium-length hair. He's a solid dark color with white feet and a white face. He ran off when I went outside. I've seen him once before. I say "him". I don't know for sure. He's a pretty good size, though.

Here she is today

She and the feral had a little spat, but nothing worse than what goes on in this house between mine. The feral momma and the tame momma get along well.

Does it look like she is nursing kittens? Milk bags?

Yeah. She's definitely got something squishy under there.

I didn't spend much time out there today because there were wasps flying around everywhere. She comes to eat, stays maybe an hour or so, then she leaves again.

There's a big gray fuzzy cat running around outside. I've seen him before. He always runs away when you get close. My dad saw him and apparently the cat has a big bloody gash in the side of his neck. Nobody can get close to him, though.

I saw the momma cat at the end of the block. She was standing on the bank of the creek. When she saw me, she ran into the creek.

I was laying in bed with my black cat last night. The dogs outside were barking like crazy. It got quiet and I heard this low, long meowing. I turned the light on and looked out there and I didn't see anything.

I figured it was probably the fuzzy gray cat meowing out there.

It sure seems like somebody needs to get a humane rescue and discount spay program going on. Is there any one of the vets or local animal advocates that you can imagine would be willing to get some education and advocacy activities started? Is there a local newspaper where such info could be posted and like-minded individuals could get together? Is there a college in town where maybe a club could be started or a fraternity/sorority project?? A scouting project? It would be a team effort and that might get a ball rolling. Even if the vets get together and offer a free or discount spay once a month it would spark interest. It would be a whole lot easier than dealing with all these stray, wounded, and abandoned cats.
