I think it's ridiculous how people are calling Christina unAmerican for singing it wrong. I mean really? unAmerican? It was a mistake. She is human like the rest of us. People have gotten so out of control with the internet these days.

I also find it odd how everyone praises child-molesting Michael jackson after he dies but are so quick to point the finger at a small very minor uncriminal mistake made by someone. We need to get our priorities straight.
The internet is crazy. Where were all these Michael Jackson lovers in the 90's. Remember the Martin Bashir interview? All these people seemed to have come out of nowhere after he died.

Christina and Britney sure have taken their lumps. They sure have had to deal with a lot in 5 to 8 years.

It's hard to imagine her goofing up the words to her own song.
Any artist given such an honor should be/come prepared.

Why don't people give her a break? I'm sure she was nervous..plus she tripped when she was walking off the stage-I felt bad for her.

You're saying prepared people can't goof up?
I practiced my butt off for my piano recital for weeks at age 12, and I missed the very last note.

She's a professional, but unlike kids practicing for their recitals and local sports game performances, she's got a lot on her schedule. While the Superbowl was probably the highlight of her work schedule and rehearsal time, it probably wasn't the center of it. She's got a lot going on. Grammys coming up on Sunday too. She probably had that on her plate, thinking about/getting a song ready for that also. And raising her kid, dealing with her ex..

uh uh-not buying that and cry me a river. That job/performance that day should have been top priority. Not saying it wasn't; but responding to your defense and possible excuses. Doesn't fly -not for her or any other performer. Nope. Forget all the other things on your plate and show up ready to do your job.

don't see what the hub bub is about honestly
There is a difference between adding your own flair to a song, and completely destroying a timeless tradition!
There's nothing wrong with adding a bit of professional juice to a classic - but she cranked it to eleven and completely threw it into left field.

What she did was a slap in the face to your country, your people and everything that an anthem stands for.

People seemed to have forgotten all about the 90's. The lynch mob wasnt around when Rosanne did that. I hope this social media stuff (fad?) dies down. A million critics all analyzing every little move you do.
It's not hatred of rich celebrities - it's hatred for worthless losers being bred by corporations to be consumed by the very idiots spreading the hate.

I am amazed at their ability to make vast sums of money for essentially doing nothing.
what I am disgusted by is the fact that these celebrity people are pawns in a game purely designed to fleece people out of their hard earned money. Most of these celebrities offer nothing in terms of substance, yet are rewarded with great incomes year after year? Who's to blame for that? The rest of america?
The sad part is most general folk don't understand how the game works. Or maybe they don't care?

People do not get paid for performing at the Superbowl-you are asked to do it or you offer-but no payment
