Ohhh no. I am sorry to hear that. We all enjoyed them back in the day. They were unique in that they could be "pop" with songs like Daydream Believer or they could sound more rock with songs like Not Your Steppin Stone.
You never know when your number is going to be up, that's for sure.
From a commercial standpoint, you have to give credit where credit is due to the band. I wasn't a big fan, but from when "Last Train To Clarksville" from October of 1966 to October of 1968 they always had a song on the charts, I believe March 1969's "Tear Drop City" was the last song that went top 20.
I heard them announce it this morning but didnt think it was true, but now Im a bereaver.
Did they say how he died? I bet his death involved some kind of monkey business.
