John Heard Dead @ 72 (movies, actor, scene, Comedy)

The actor best known for his role in "Home Alone" was found dead in his hotel room.

He was recovering from minor back surgery.

Just heard about this. Very sad.

I enjoyed him in the role of Goldie Hawn's deceptive husband in 1991's Deceived.

He was great in that one.

John was so versatile! He was completely believable when playing good guys or bad guys.

I think it's sad that of all the great roles he's played and movies he's been in, most peopke will only remember him for those stupid "Home Alone" movies. RIP John Heard.

I always thought he was an outstanding actor. He was great in " Big" in a comedy role. But I thought some of his best work was on the Sopranos. In his final scene his body language and mannerisms were so realistic.

Those movies appealed to the masses mainly because of the genius pen of the late great John Hughes.

I recently read that his 22 year old son died last year - the mother claims he died because he was overcome by not having a father in his life. Something tells me there is a lot more to come news-wise. Sad news, both deaths.
