Very tragic news about Swayze. I was hoping that he would find a way to beat this disease. If the disease could be overcome by strong will, determination, and inner strength, then he certainly would have done it because he had it all. Just proves that it takes far more. May he rest in peace.
Shame when anyone passes from this disease Cancer. One would think that it deserves more attention than say, the Taliban, or a Wall street bailout. Certainly a trillion dollars to fight it over 8 years would've done more for humanity than dumping that money in a "war on terror." A trillion dollars in a War on Cancer should be top priority going forward.

I'm really sorry to hear this news. Patrick put up the good fight, I don't know if I could have mustered up the strength he had to keep going on. I've always liked him and have enjoyed many of his movies over the years. My thoughts and prayers will certainly be with his wife and everyone else that was close to him. I will defintely miss him, RIP Patrick.
he did put up a good fight. that pancreatic cancer is some tough stuff. He really did leave a great legacy of films behind. I look forward to watching them all again. RIP Patrick. you will be missed.
I lol'd at the SNL parody with PS and Chris Farley they were in a danceoff to become male strippers and there was Patrick with his 6 pack abs and Chris Farley with his jelly belly.
He had an interesting career and apparently an exceptional marriage--over 30 years. I think he met/fell in love with his wife in high school, moved to NYC and had some lean years getting started and she followed him there and they made the decision to move to LA.
He came from a musical theater family and seemed to be a very down to earth person. He certainly is an example of someone who refused to quit living and that is a good legacy.
His appearance changed so much, when he became diagnosed with the disease. But I think he put up a good fight. He still went about his life.
RIP Patrick.
My favorite film with him, was 'The Outsiders'.
