This is the issue with texting sometimes. With people preferring this over voice talking (some people hate talking on the phone), it may mean he/she is NOT ignoring, but sometimes they can be in actual dead zones where a text doesn't make it.

I recall talking to this woman on the phone, and I said, "Hey, did you get that picture I sent you?" and I described it. She goes, "No, I never did" and the pic was sent a couple of days ago. She asked me if I sent it during the day as at work, there's areas out there where data can fall flat.

So in that case, don't be afraid to follow-up with another text or call saying, "Hey, did you get my text?" So they may not be ignoring you after all.

Not sure if anyone can concur, but I've had some tell me that that texts ALWAYS make it through, and yes, you may be being ignored.

Not them again.

I will ignore it and blame it on a dead zone that I learned on CD today.

Ummm, okay?

They should usually get it once they’re out of the dead zone, unless it never went through on your end.

I have a similar issue with voice messages. One day 10:voice messages will suddenly appear on my iPhone and, when I look at the dates they were recorded it can sometimes be from two weeks prior. I know folks think at just ignored there call when in reality it is a glitch with my carrier or my phone.

Happens to me ALL THE TIME. I called AT&T (my carrier) it seems that my old flip phone's (yes I still have one of those) programming isn't completely compatible with their system upgrades and if I'm staying in one place I need to turn my phone off for about 10-15 minutes a couple of times a week to re-up it with the local cell sites, otherwise messages go into a cache and I won't get notification until I leave my area. I occasionally don't get the notifications, just one VM and I then discover a string of days old messages. Sigh.

I'd get a new phone but this beast has been dropped many dozens of times, once from the hood of a moving car, fetched out of my purse and chewed by my dog, been through the laundry at least twice, had a latte spilled over it and it still works (given that it has this problem). My DH has been through 3 iterations of smart phones already in that time. Mostly cracked screens, one a processor. I dread the day when I have to go to a flat phone.

More common than you think. One woman I was dating...she sent me a screen shot of a text, with the timestamp, that I sent to her that was delayed. Came to her like a full day later!

It was weird, as I had been talking to her have that bit of text.

Yup.
I have screenshots of sending stuff and the other person does not get it or vice versa.

If a person isn't responding, is because that person chose not to or is busy. Does these glitches happen to everyone? Of course, they're electronic devices transmitting radio waves.

Again, rarely the case someone isn't texting back because it got lost in a 'bit of heaven'. Who would ever tolerate/pay for unreliable carrier service if this was happening on regular basis?

I turn my cell phone off at night and if I'm in a situation when I should not be disturbed (church, nice restaurant, etc.). Occasionally, when I turn my phone back on, it will upload messages (voice or text) which my boyfriend sent to me a day or even several days prior but which had never come through before. Neither of us has any idea why the delivery was delayed. This only happens with his messages; never happens with any of my other contacts.
