I am checking into family plans and I am a bit (actually a lot) overwhelmed. I was wondering if those of you who have family plans are happy with the price and the service. Could you tell me what service you use and if you can talk free (without being billed for accumulating minutes) to other subscribers of the same company? Thanks!!!!

I'm happy with Cingular/AT&T's Family Plan for 700 minutes. They are the only ones I know of with roll over minutes. My DH uses it as his business phone and peak usage for him is during tax season. We accumulate the minutes rolled over so we have a huge bank to work with when he needs it. We signed up for the 200 text msgs for one of the lines (my 13 yo DD) for $5.99 a month. Our initial problem was that we had hardly any bars where we lived but they recently put in another tower near us and reception has improved tremendously. We are thinking of moving up to the 1400 minute plan and dropping LD on our landline plus adding another line to the Family plan for DS.

I've had them for over 4 years and no complaints. I just bumped up to the 1400 minute plan as grand daughter is 13 and talks more. You can talk to any At&T Cingular customer with out using up minutes.

Here's a small story of why I will never switch...grand daughter was due for an upgrade on her phone. The one she got I didn't realize had internet connection capabilities...first bill was over $800.00 I almost choked.
When I called At&t they blocked that access on her phone and wiped out all the charges....they have me as a customer for life
