You have to be willing to extend your contract for 2 years. The regular cs employees DO NOT know about this and will tell you that you can't do it/you have to pay for it. NOT TRUE!!!!

I just called. when the automated voice asked what I wanted, I said I wanted to cancel. bypassed customer service and went immediately to retention (the folks who know about this). She knew immediately what I wanted and was happy to do it UNTIL she saw we were getting the government employee discount. You can’t get the free MyFaves when you get the gov employee discount. And since we’re not willing to give up that 18% discount, we decided not to make the switch.

I asked about this and they told me no. I also asked about Tmobile to Tmoblie for free and they said no too. It might depend on where you live. If you live in a market that is served by Boost Mobile, Cricket or Metro they might be more inclined to give you something to keep you.
