Are you sure about this?

I was not aware that it only took a simple phone call. I do know about Form 1500 and it's use for eliminating offensive material.

Standard Class (3rd class) mail should always be mailers...not usually. They will not have any specific address and go in every box. That's what I would consider a mailer.

They can't....the USPS is paid by these private companies to place the advertisements in PO/Mail boxes. Basically, they are contracted to do this.

Some have said that this type of thing is what is keeping them up and going.

That is exactly right...which is why I asked the question above. I figure if someone can educate me, I'm willing to listen.

Bulk mail is exactly what keeps the mail running and pays the bills for the USPS.

i have been in direct mail advertising for years, it has always worked in my area. We tell people that do not want our paper to go to the post office or call and it works. They almost always call back saying thanks for helping them. Sorry to hear it does not work there, maybe we just have a stellar post office.

3rd class mail is why the post office is still around even though they are in such huge debt.

Is there anything like this in the area?

Whether it is a magazine, newspaper style, valpak etc.

Any input would be great.

Shane, there are tons of these coupon magazines. Head out to the beaches or one of the downtown hotels. Many aimed at tourists along with the valupak type things for the locals.

There are also tons of companies that do the coupon racks, ads on the backs of toliet stall doors, maps, etc.

It is a completely saturated market but good luck!

Thank you very much, from that answer I will most likely be scratching the idea.
