Hey all! I am back again with the questions and am wondering what you think of the neigborhood on Blackwell Ave in summerville? In the greenhurst subdivision. We are looking at a house there tomorrow. Thanks for the info!

One of the older sections of Summerville, last time I looked around over there the place was in need of some serious cleanup....

Maybe they need an HOA>>>>>

It's not considered a "desirable" neighborhood because it has become run down like OTC mentioned. A lot of unsightl andy poorly converted garage. The rent is cheap in there and the homes are inexpensive to purchase.

Thanks for the info! Any idea on a real estate place we can stop at today and may have luxk? We r driving three hours up there with only this house lined up to look at. I have very specific expectations for the sort of house/townhome/condo my family lives in. Yet my husband is penny pinching. I dont believe he'd go higher than 850! Any advice would bw great!

By "poorly converted garage", do you mean garages which have been made into apartments? How strict is zoning enforcement in Summerville? For example, where I live, our Village went on a rampage back in the 80's to eliminate illegal rentals in one family homes.

Probably just enclosing it for living space. 9 times out of 10 it's done poorly - looks bad from the street and has poor heating/cooling.
