I want to do this once, since I'm not big on shopping. I do most of my shopping online but for stuff you have to wear it makes more sense to go the brick-and-mortar route. So, where would you say has the best selection of eyeglasses? You can name your top three or something if you want, since I'm just going to aggregate and average the responses anyway.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there Mr. John!

I am a local Optician and can give you some great insight in regards to selection in the area. First I must ask, what style in particular are you looking for in a new pair of glasses? Professional/Geek-Chic/Casual/Athletic, etc. Also, is there a specific price point you are looking to stay between? Any brands you are drawn to or prefer?

Hi AJ,

Thanks for the response. Sorry it took me so long to check back with this thread. Hope you haven't absconded.

As for your questions, I'm open-minded about most of them. I suppose that's why I wanted to find a wide selection; I want to try a lot of stuff on and see what looks good on me. I guess we can rule out the low-budget end, since I want something nice. On the other hand, I don't want to say money's no object, since I don't know what the highest end costs. I'm considering buying more than one pair - maybe one durable pair for sporting-manual labor-outdoor activities, and another pair for casual wear? Or maybe, one pair for everyday/knocking around, and one for when I'm socializing?

I'm self-employed, and I don't need something to go with the office since I work from home, so I suppose we can rule that out, too.

As for brand, no, I wouldn't know either way. I don't care about brand name, so much as quality and style.

I hope my answers helped. I'm looking to go ahead and jump on this, maybe tomorrow or Friday, or next week at the latest.
