Well someone at work said someone else told them "HOUSEton", which would be similar to the one in Manhattan, but I wasn't sure. It's a first name, so I guess if no one knows I can email the company named after the same guy.
I had a business on that street. All I know pronounced it Hew-ston. The only How-ston pronunciation of the spelling Houston is in NYC and limited to that specific area. Even those living there would say Hew-ston TX.
One of the morning shows was talking about this either Thursday or Friday but they were discussing the one in Manhattan. I haven't a clue about the local one but I'm sure I pronounce it Hewston....lol.
Not Charleston, but a county close to us that houses Myrtle Beach...Horry County - dont even dare say "*****-E County" (CD is blocking it out but it begins with a W). You'll get looked at like you're from Mars. It's "OR-REE County."

Reason: OMG I can't even post how some people pronounce it. You get the idea.

Also is it Hue-Gee or You-Gee?
The street and town are You-Gee. I worked with a lady born and raise here with the same last name but she pronounced her name Hue-Gee.
Also Legare Farms is pronounced Lagree.
