Does anyone have information/insight about the Cooper Estates neighborhood in Mt. Pleasant. My husband and I are moving to Mt. Pleasant and like that neighborhood. Any insight would be appreciated.

thanks!

It's a fantastic section of Mt. P. Great location, plenty of older homes, i.e. built in the 60's-70's, no HOA fees that I know of. I'm positive the community has it's own boat ramp for residents, but it might be an additional yearly fee (though small).

To my understanding Cooper Estates is in an X flood plain, which means that flood insurance isn't mandated, though still strongly recommended along with wind&hail. Prices range from the mid 200's well upwards of $500k.

Cooper Estates is one of Mt Pleasants older neighborhoods. I've shown and sold in there. Although older, the houses were very well kept. Most were built in the late 60's, early 70's. There is a community boat landing with a fee of $150.00 the first year and $75.00 thereafter. Hard to find an established neighborhood in MT Pleasant that has larger lots and is reasonably affordable. My clients that live there are happy. Be sure to check on hazard/flood insurance rates as they are usually higher in that area of Mt Pleasant. Good Luck

Cooper Estates is a great family neighborhood ---- it is in the SC Wind & Hail pool which enables you to get your homeopwner's insurance for less $ -- although, you will need to purchase the Wind & Hail insurance through the state.
