Good advice. It's hot here. I just turned off the AC yesterday. It's fricking October and there is a storm coming. That's what it took to get rid of the heat.

It's been in the mid 80's high 70's for weeks now. Where have you been?

Oh a hurricane... yikes!

Yes I did try living in WA. I lived there 6 months. I didnt mind the cold so much or small amount of snow. I could not stand the constant black sky all winter long. I felt like I was living underground! Fall was lovely but no sun made winter unbearably depressing.

Yes Im also considering CO as an option. All the states I look at either tell me Im going to struggle through 6 months of humid summer or freeze 6 months of winter. Im trying to decide which is the lesser of 2 evils. If you didnt have to work like a freaking slave to afford to survive in CA I would stay here. In Orange County anything below $30/hr is considered poverty level. No joke.

I keep my thermostat at 78, so 80-ish and humid doesn't cut it.

I love open-windows weather around here though. Glad it's finally here.

Heat I can live with. Freezing weather requires a complete lifestyle change. Things like salty sidewalks and roads ruining your car, shoveling driveways, wearing 10 extra articles of clothing just to check the mail, dying because your heat went out, etc.
