Hey everyone, the hubby and I are heading down to visit in January, and we will need to watch a football playoff game (geaux Saints) and were looking for recommendations from locals. We are mid 30's, so please no "college" bars, just a low key place. Thanks in advance!

There are several good sports bars in the area. King Street Grille is a really good one, as they have several locations around town, in James Island, Charleston, and Mt. Pleasant.

On James Island, Terri's Sports Bar is a bar that is low-key, and it is a mom and pop place that serves good food.

I love O'Malley's -- we've been a couple of times to watch football. The King Street Grill was way too packed the first time -- now O'Malley's is our first choice.

I showed my husband the O'Malley's site and it looks like that is where we will be. The King Street Grille looks really nice, but we are not really into the mob scene, we are simply too old to fight for a bartenders attention, hehe! I read the temps are around the 50's (daytime) in January, is that about right? I definitely want to pack enough warm clothes!

You best hope your Saints are still playing ... Otherwise there will be other NFC games to watch

Go to Grindz in west ashley. You wont find a better place to really be able to watch the game and get GREAT eats! I've been to just about every sports bar in the area in the last 3 years and I can tell you I like GRINDZ by far over anything else out there.

I like Buffalo Wild Wings.....they have a zillion tv sets and many patrons wear their team jerseys. You better make it quick though...the Saints will not be playing very much in January!!!!
