I just moved to the area and looking for a mechanic that specializes in Jeeps or is trusted in the area. The knob for my air conditioning broke and I'm going to be hurting in a few weeks if I don't get it fixed.

Thanks in advance.

Seriously, the knob broke? You mean the knob on your console that you turn it on and off with?

If that is all that is broke, I will fix it for you for $100.... or you can go to ebay and get a new one for $5.

The knob that diverts the air flow from chest level to windshield or floor level no longer changes the sir flow. The a/c cool air now flows only to the windshiled and the floor...not at body level. Turning the knob that selects the desired level of air flow causes no change in where the air comes out in my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Does it click or does it turn smoothly? Pull the knob off and look at it, see if the bottom of the knob is cracked. This happened to my Wrangler, for me it was as simple as buying a new knob at any auto parts store.
