Hello all - Charleston may be an option for us in the Fall (hopefully). I was looking on realtor.com and noticed that the houses in the area don't have basements (which is logical since the water table is pretty high up).
My question is, coming from a house that had a basement and being used to having them, where do you store stuff when you don't have one? I know this may sound like a dumb question, but I am just curious.

Yard sale, craigs' list, etc......

Get rid of all of that snow removal stuff, just need a decent lawn mower a set of yard darts, horse shoes and a couple of rakes......

Put in a small yard building for storing these things....

LOL
My plan is to buy a house with at least 1/2 acre so I can build a recording studio on the premises... So I could use it partly for storage as well :-)

That's why I want a raised elevation. I want to be able to have all that storage space.

Wait...lawn darts? I forgot about lawn darts! How did we ever survive lawn darts as kids!! Granted they're not made with 2lb lead points anymore so kids have it easy now.

I remember trying to hit my brother with those things....I think part of my coming of age was the moment I realized that letting someone my age play with lawn darts was crazy!!
