Ole Tom Cat,
I have to say we really enjoy your posts. There is somthing about a person that simply tells it like it is!
My better half and myself are from Lancaster, Pa.......it's funny, we hear the same things up here that the southerners hear down there. It seems that some from different areas of the nation want to change the area they are moving to, to what they have moved from. I can't figure it out.
My wife is the best cook I could have ever found.....I want for NOTHING!
Also, when we decide to move to South Carolina, it will certainly not be to change anything there, heck, that's why we want to move there! The charm of Charleston and Summerville..etc...are what attracts people to that area. I would not want anything to follow me from up here (except family) to SC. What a wonderful state.
BTW....I see nothing wrong in looking for a decent deli......but, like others that have posted.....give the local food a try. Think about it.
NY style sandwiches? You mean the ones with 3" of pastrami on thin rye bread that fall apart on your plate? The ones you eat with your fork? Subway or Jason's Deli chains are better. Try shrimp and grits for a change.

Yeah OK...Enjoy Subway fella! May as well eat at Blimpie too
