I currently live in Tampa, Florida and will be graduating with my bachelors in Social Work. I am strongly considering moving to Charlotte. Does anyone know of any jobs in this field. I will be attending UNC after some time in Charlotte, to pursue my masters degree in Social Work. I will also be looking for a place to live soon. What are some good areas that I should check out. I am a 27 year old student who would rather live outside of the college due to me being a nontraditional aged student. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hate to disappoint you, but our city/county is having a real budget shortfall. About 600 teachers have been let go. I would not expect there to be many social worker type jobs - especially ones that don't require a MSW. To live in a nice area close enough to UNCC without being on campus, look or apts along Mallard Creek Rd. Best of luck to you.

You could look for jobs in nearby counties, & the live between the job & the school.

Are you referring to UNC Charlotte (Go Niners ) as in you will stay in the area or UNC CHapel Hill meaning you will move again after working/living in NC for a while.?
