I wanted to do a weekend "getaway" x-mas weekend, but dont want to just, get a hotel room for 2 days and call it a day. I know theres a place called the "Great Wolf Lodge" but, it seems like its more for kids. Im trying to find a place that has accommodations for sleeping, but, also has something to do on site. If this doesnt exist in the Charlotte area, where else might it?

I recommend you look at the Morehead Inn (Right outside of uptown and very nice for a special occasion)

Historic Inn | Southern Mansion | Charlotte Wedding Reception | Business Meetings : Hotel Charlotte NC | Charlotte Bed and Breakfast | Charlotte Wedding

The Vanlandingham Estate is another possibility (in Plaza Midwood):

For an elegant, romantic meal consider checking to see if McNinch House is open for the holiday - a fantastic meal:

For a place with more amenities give the Ballantyne Hotel and Spa a call:

Merry Christmas!
