Well, I'm looking for a Charlotte moving company. Wouldn't that mean I should put it here? Sorry if I posted the wrong place...

If you don't mind driving the rental truck, you could save a ton of money by hiring a local crew here, and one at your destination.
I found mine through the u-haul site. Was very happy with both crews.

go to www dot uship dot com and list your job.

what you need, with so few items, is a low cost.

Movers with their own trucks will bid on your job.
Then accept the one you want, based on their feedback.
I used to find alot of jobs for myself on there.

There will be people heading from point A to point B and passing near Charlotte.
You want someone who might be in Charleston or Savannah or Jacksonville who is headed to Ohio, Chicago, etc.

No cost to you to join and post the date of your move, photos of the items you have, and what price you are willing to pay.

If you want some guidance on what to ask, please send me a private message.

People who only have 1-2-3 items going a long ways from Charlotte can get low fees. The movers want as many jobs on one trip as they can get. If they have to side track 50 miles to get to Charlotte for your things, it is worth their time on their way from A to B.

Whereas you can not afford to ship from Charlotte to Indiana.

I was also going to move my furniture(Charlotte to Phoenix) but I figured it would be easier just getting rid of my furniture here and then buying new items when I get to Phoenix later this summer.
