I've been in Mooresville for about 4 months now, and I would love to have some suggestions of things to do for fun. I do not have any kids, so I'm looking for adult-oriented activities. What do you suggest?

Are there any activity clubs (scrapbooking, wine, pottery, hiking, walking, etc.) in the area?

Also, I have a dog, and we love go for walks, so where are some good places to go walk? I recently discovered the Mazeppa Rd park, which is pretty nice, and we went to Lake Norman State park a couple times, and we liked it alot. Any other gems we should explore?

Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Google Meet-up Charlotte/Mooresville Should be several groups that will suit you.

You might think about wine tours in the area. Here is one idea: American Limousine | Home | Call Us Today 704.576.5309

Check with the weekly Mooresville paper, the Mooresville Chamber of Commerce, or even Creative Loafing for activities. They are around.

wpayne88 - thanks for the Meet-up tip. I did see a couple things on there I might check out!

Stella - those are good suggestions; I'll be on lookout for those. We had a paper in my hometown in TN called The Loafer that always had lots of good information about things going on, so Creative Loafing may be something similar.

Try the Mooresville Artisan marketHome (http://theartisanmarket.net/default.aspx - broken link)

Also have a friend who's involved with Future fashion designers in downtown Mooresville. Not sure how many adults get involved in the classes they offer. Sure they would tell you if you asked. I might go if I thought I wouldn't be with kids or "Moms" Lol - I'm one but don't want to do "sewing for Moms"

Not sure if you are into sports but a friend of mine, who's single, plays in a coed kickball league as well as a softball league. She enjoys both quite a bit. DM if you are interested and I can get you some contact info I'm sure.
