I am looking to relocate to the Charlotte area. I offer Yoga Therapy, but am considering looking into offering Egoscue Therapy, as well. This is very costly (due to franchise/certification, etc. fees). To support this type of biz, I would need to be in an area where people have a good amount of disposable income and, preferably, are open to this Yoga and Alternative Therapies.
I know that in the Nashville market, one would do best with this type biz in Brentwood or Franklin (20 mins south of Nashville). It seems the Brentwood/Franklin crowd doesn't want to come to Nashville, but Nashvillians will drive to Brentwood/Franklin, so you'd get both populations. Does anyone know of a similar situation in Charlotte, or have any recommendations as to
I would suggest a neighborhood like Dilworth where you could work out of your home. I see a yoga instructor in this area and she has converted her garage into a wonderful studio. You might also want to consider Ballantyne. The thing about Dilworth is it is right outside of downtown and surrounded by the most expensive zip codes in the state. (Eastover, Myers Park, Southpark)

I think that you should look and see where there is the highest concentration of pilatas classes in operation. That would give you some easy market research.
