You might try looking at Montclair instead. Burnley Drive would be an example.

I live in Montclaire. Owned a home there for 2 years now and really like it. It's crazy how the area is changing. I jog through Starmount a lot, especially down to the greenway, and there are a ton of hidden gems in there. I was not surprised to see it make that redfin list, especially as the cost of housing continues to explode in Sedgefield and Madison Park. It along with Montclaire are basically experiencing a trickle down effect.

You can walk to the light rail, it's about a mile from Southpark if that's your thing and takes about 10 minutes (outside of rush hour) to get to uptown via car. $12 cab rides to uptown if you are into nightlife. Park rd Park is literally around the corner and they are FINALLY extending the sugar creek greenway down to us over the next 2 years (yay!).

I don't have children, but I've also been very encouraged by the community involvement to improve the two elementary schools in the neighborhoods. Re-opening Starmount elementary was a great move. Very positive stuff going on down here!
