Hi--we just recently moved to the Arboretum area and I'm looking for a full-day preschool program just two days a week for my toddler. Any recommendations? Thanks!

I have only seen 1/2 day preschools or full time daycares, not much in between. State regulation perhaps?
There are plenty of half-day programs, typically at area churches. And as you may have noticed, there are a lot of churches in CLT. Calvary Baptist gets good reviews.

Have you considered a nanny service? Olive You Nanny, Personally Paired, Charlotte Care Services are some that come to mind.

You can get 2 day full time daycare but not a preschool per se. The cost is quite high though and when I ran the numbers I didn't make enough after working to make it worthwhile.

Unless you find a private person offering in home care, you will have to pay for a full week. Daycares do this so that the spot is paid for, otherwise they could fill it with a full time studentand make more money. I highly recommend Cranfield academy, on providence, just south of 485. Excellent program! But it is $250/week for 4 year olds- more money if they're younger. Your best bet is a private in home care provider.

Thanks-I really want him to be exposed to other children. Any thoughts on Christ Lutheran?

You might want to use child care resources to help you look for care. They helped me find a place for my 3 year old. I don't remember their number.

KinderCare on Providence Rd may have some part-time spots available.
