bs13690.....maybe the tradition of peanuts in a Coke is a generational thing, as I have enjoyed them for many, many years!!
This combination is a great "pick me up"...when you don't have time for lunch, and especially going down the road.
Good to know the hint about them being at the Papa Johns pizza place, I have a feeling that they might be the canned Coke....and that just doesn't work the magic of drinking salted peanuts in a bottle of Coke!!

I've never actually done it, I was just referencing the song I Was Country When Country Wasn't Cool by Barbara Mandrell.

bs13690.....Sure hope you will try the peanuts in a Coke....let us know what you think. I know there are places that have the peanuts right beside a bin of ice cold Cokes. It would be fun to find out if there is anyone who comes from the North....that would try it, andddd like it.

It was always peanuts in a SunDrop or MT Dew as a kid. of course almost every soda was called "coke" even if it was a pepsi, orange,dr pepper, etc. "You got any coke to drink?"

+1 on drinking water instead of Pepsi if they don't have Coke. Or just choking down my own spit.

Just order extra garlic dipping sauce for your drink choice.

It's not mentioned online, you'd have to call in to ask or pick it up from the store.
Nothing that bad for you or loaded with HFCS can possibly be a bargain.

I bet you're a lot of fun at parties. Some of us believe that things like Coke can be OK if used in moderation.

If you really want to break it down, even it if Coke was "good for you" it still wouldn't technically be a bargain. It's so cheap to make, you're overpaying no matter what.

There is a certain irony discussing health benefits on a pizza thread.
