When I fly, it's usually US Airways out of CLT, but I like the fact that this may give me more affordable options. Just recently flying to Minneapolis it was over $900 roundtrip and I was able to fly AirTran for $400 AND they served pretzels on the flight

Southwest used to be really cheap but their prices are now about the same or more than other airlines in many of the areas they fly. I think in the short term (1-2 years) they will keep prices low in Charlotte to get a following but then raise them like they have done in other markets.

A friend was just saying SW doesn't charge for checked bags - a plus, for sure!
