oh,no. not an office job. i think i wouldn't be able to do that and be happy enough to stay too long. i don't mind retail and getting physical. just something that pays around 25k/year is fine by me. any suggestions?
I'd suggest you look at getting on the management track at Harris Teeter - they seem to have a great program.
Yeah "right to work" is right. I had a waitressing job when I was in college and they paid $2.13 + tips. Out here, they get the minimum CA wage which is $6.50 + tips. But server positions will still make what you are looking for if you work at the right place that has steady business.

This is crazy, I ate at a place a few weeks ago and they published that they pay their wait staff $2.13 an hour so it hasn't gone up in a long, long time.
I thought it was so weird that they would publish this on their menus.

My daughter was a hostess at Brixx and she was paid minimum wage plus tips. She made good money over there at Birkdale.
