ah he had a 10 year run. Some suit probably thinks a fresh voice will do good. I say why fix what isn't broken. I'm about as far right as one can get, but WBT has had some dogs over the years in their afternoon time slot. I'm afraid we will be in for more of the same with the 9 to 12 spot

from the FB page...

We removed the earlier post regarding Keith for this statement from WBT General Manager Rick Feinblatt: “Our desire was that we didn’t want to renew the contract, but wanted him to remain as an employee at will. He has not told us whether that is acceptable or not."

does this mean they wanted him to take a pay cut or are they trying to save face due to a ton of backlash?

I take it as though they want to keep him around until they find someone/thing else. People are not happy about this, reading the posts on FB.

Hey, Keith isn't gone yet!! Those that love his show, need to support him...by writing letters and sending them in, and possibly protesting in front of the station. Maybe getting up a petition and having his fans sign it....why not, at the Keith Larson Ride this Saturday in Waxhaw.
Keith is really going to be missed...if he really leaves....especially for all the work he does for the Kids.
If it wasn't for him.....I would have never cared about what goes on in the Charlotte area. If he harped on something going on....I would naturally go and find out what the story was......no one has ever impressed me like that. I just figuered that....the powers that be knew what they were doing, and I was following along...like a good little soldier. His show really makes you "think" outside of the box!! He really has made me laugh sooo many times...especially on my way to work in the morning. Think about the Who's Leg is it story!! What about Alvin Green!! He was a total hoot. What is going to happen when we don't hear those kind of things anymore? Its going to feel strange going to work....in total silence!!

Any self-respecting human should be at work before Keith Larson's show comes on....

Default Bring on Neal Boortz

Well if they're going with a syndicated show, I would like to see them put Neal Boortz on live in the mornings. He presents a very good, well researched show. He gets to the point and supports his opinions with thought provoking arguments, rather than rambling on and on all the time. Agree or disagree, he puts on a good show that originated from WSB in Atlanta, where it has been successful for years. Bring on Boortz!
