^ ^ ^ This is what I am assuming.

Has anyone checked to see if all the folks shot in GH the last few weeks had criminal records?

My theory is that thugs who have been thru the revolving door several times have moved in with relatives who live in GH and so there is simply an active criminal element there. And thugs attract other thugs, putting the decent folks in the neighborhood at risk.

I believe all of the recent violence is just a coincidence that the cases occurred in such a short time. Had these cases been spread out over a 6 month period, they would not have garnered much attention. Gangs? I doubt it. Drugs? Most likely. Someone mentioned that the people who live there and own homes there need to engage by joining together to report activities that they suspect or KNOW are illegal. Right on! Some folks don't want to work with the cops until their homes and families are surrounded by bad stuff. Then, it's "the police are doing nothing to protect us." If a "march against violence" brings people together and gets them engaging their neighborhood police officers, maybe then the bad guys will move on - to another "poor" neighborhood. Keeping the bad guys moving works in favor of every neighborhood, whether South Park or Grier Heights.
