Liberal, open minded, and diversity are not words I would use to describe Charlotte's culture.

Charlotte may not be the most culturally progressive city when compared to major metro areas, but in my opinion it is hardly closed minded. It's fair to characterize Charlotte as a politically moderate city that feels more like an oversize town than the urban center it actually is. But as a 20-something liberal having moved here from the northeast, I found Charlotte to be friendly, open, and culturally interesting.
