I am in a strange situation.....I moved into a new CP Morgan neighborhood in York SC 4 months ago. CP Morgan sent out a letter saying they will be planting a tree in everyones yard next week. I questioned the neighborhood building supervisor as to how we are suppose to water a new tree with the drought restrictions.....his answer??? You can water with a pot or pan.

So they think I am going to use one of my kitchen pots, fill it with water and walk back and forth 6 or 8 times every day.

I honestly do not want the tree till next spring.

how about something like this:
15 Gallon Treegator Drip Irrigation Bag (http://www.planetgreenspot.com/15-Gallon-Treegator-Bag-p/15%20gallon%20treegator.htm - broken link)
it's a heavy duty bag you fill with water and it slowly releases it to the tree. Never used one but heard about it from a friend.

I would suggest if you cant get around the restriction (like me, in mischievous ways), then let the tree dry up and plant one when you are ready: that is , if you want trees. it is only a 20 dollar loss or so letting it die. I would let somebody else adopt it though, using the line of the anti abortionists.oh and by the way, you dont need to water 8 or 6 times a day, all it requires is a good drench 3 times a week. 4 or 5 if you are being extra kind.
