Hi! I have recently accepted a job in Gastonia and need to find a one-bedroom apartment with no more than a 25-30 minute commute. I'd like to keep the rent below $800, but am willing to spend more for the right apartment. Just some basics: I'd prefer something newer, obviously safe, not too isolated from shopping/restaurants, and pet friendly (for dogs over 35lbs). I am currently thinking Bexley Commons at Rosedale in Huntersville or Whitehall Parc off S.Tryon, but would LOVE your suggestions!! Thanks.

Why not look in Gastonia?

Most of the apartments I have found in Gastonia are managed by one company which has a 35lbs weight limit for pets. My dog won't make the cut!

Hmmm. . . Keeping in mind that I know nothing about pet regulations, you could check Battleforest Apartments in Kings Mountain. They're very nice. You could also check to see if there's something in Bessemer City.

Margrace Apartments in Kings Mountain are close to the city limits. I'm really not sure if they're just inside or just outside of the city limits. They might be more tolerant.

I agree. If you stay west of 485, you always have the option of 74/Wilkinson Blvd/Franklin Blvd/Kings Mountain Highway/etc.

Same general budget, up to $1000 if need be. I do not have a dog right now, but am looking to get one. Not a make or break situation, but dog friendly would be preferred.

Why not rent a small house with a fenced in yard?
