Hi - We purchased a new construction home in Waxhaw and now are looking for reputable and quality Pool construction company. Not being from the area, its tough to know who is good and who has had horror stories with their company.
We are looking for quality construction and would consider any of the pool options: Fiberglass, Gunite or Liner, depending on what the recomendation of each company and the pros and cons of each. We have a pretty good idea of what we want, but are open to suggustions based on the pool installers recommendations and why.
My previous neighbors had their pool installed recently. Based on what they said, they had the property first tested by a soil engineer to ensure it can hold the weight of the pool. Then based on those findings they shopped for a pool. I want to say they used Carolina Pools? And theirs was a liner with some type of cement on it. (I am sure I got the lingo wrong but I do remember something about the native clay soil can be problematic for pools/basements etc)
I have posted this before but - be careful. I know of a few pool companies here in Charlotte that have gone out of business, bankrupt, etc. every 4 or 5 years and then the owner 're-opens' a new company with no bad reviews.
Be sure to ask how long they have been in business under their current name. The warranty won't do you any good when they go out of business.
Also, ask for lots of references and ask a lot of questions.
