At least Steve Smith's smack talking and showboating served a purpose today. He and others got to the Rams, who lost control. The Panthers really worked that well.

The Panthers need to play with an edge like that and use anything to their advantage. Got the crowd into it as well which is sometimes (ok, a lot of times) a challenge in Charlotte.
The biggest take from this is that the Panthers FINALLY won consecutive games....
They got back to .500
Just a very good win in all aspects....
The only negative I would say is that the D-line MUST get pressure on the QB....from my seat today, the secondary gave way too much respect for the Rams Wide Receivers today...they were open alot...
Cam threaded the needle on several of those passes today and looked really crisp...the combo of the bowling ball and Deangelo did well..
Short week but the Panthers better NOT be looking ahead here...if they do, the Bucs could beat them at home...
Smitty said a defender must have googled his name because he was saying personal things about Smitty's wife, etc...
Smitty said if he see's him on the street he's going to bust him in his mouth...lol.
St. Louis came in talking smack, mocking Cam, etc but they got beat down and couldn't handle the loss. I think they thought it would be a cake walk since they had a nice win last week.
I have to agree... I think Cam is making strides in the right direction. Playcalling vastly improved. Ugly game though with all the fighting.
Let's hope he doesn't fall apart against the Bucs and take those risky 20-30 yarders downfield....too long in the pocket and setting up for a INT like in the Cards game. He's still got a ways to go before consistently performing on the next level. Cam can't take a game over just yet so his success is deeply rooted in Shula's game calling.
Twas an chippy game but that's what Fisher coached teams do, pick a fight and try to intimidate. Love em or hate em, Steve Smith is gonna fight back. He might have lost a step or two on the field but he's still a fiesty guy.
