I just finished a house with these people and the quality of materials and the workmanship was very bad. They also jumped the price up by $11,000.00 dollars.

America's Home Place builds stick-built homes. Not modulars.

I was told the price was guaranteed when we were considering them?

Angry Americas Home Place Baton Rouge

Total complete absolute incompetence is the ONLY way to describe America's Home Place. We had the Baton Rouge, LA people build us a home. You cannot imagine the problems. 1.5 years later they are here today "fixing" the sagging second story. They tried to get away with putting regular plywood down for my bathroom floor. They claimed that they did not know you needed water resistant flooring for wet areas. Every electrical splice in the house was a flying splice. They cut all the columns too short for our balcony and wouldn't replace them. I had to get the boss from MS here and fight with him before they would do it. We caught Hunter from the BR office stealing from us. Stay as far away from AHP as possible. You will regret it if you ever use them.

Does anyone have any experience with AHP's pricing. I got a quote from Schumaker and they gave me a $13,000 discount. AHP isn't budging. Anyone know if I can expect to get a discount?
