Who wants to bet on the July 20th deadline for completion? Key word in ANY of the new reports is the company involved in the finishing of the project COULD BE fined $20K/day if that deadline isn't met...NO shocker here!

The original timeline was:
- Completion: Dec 31st, 2014
- Penalty: June 21st, 2015

I have been driving in that mess everyday and see very little work being done in the mallard creek area that certainly could have been worked on regardless of temperature. I would hope they slam them with a fine staring the 21st.

At the rate NCDOT gets things done in Charlotte, we might finally have 8 lanes on 77 and Independence a freeway out to 485 by 2040.
