I do think any School Sup working in high growth districts like Charlotte will probably succumb to the stress. I think they need to promote within, give a Charlotte die-hard a shot.
Well, that got done....for a whole 18 months (promoting from within). Neeeeeext!
It's a job nobody in their right minds wants or will keep until they System gets divided as it has needed to be for at a least 15 yrs. I doubt looking outside the State will only get us in the same situation as the past two Supers did.
Charlotte's young 20 and 30-somethings, all movin' & groovin' in Center City, will soon be wanting to have kids AND then they will demand good schools for them. Since we are currently housing them all in the Urban Uptown and down SouthEnd, we better get schools in those areas ready to take on their peeps. Currently, they'd be in for a surprise for the most part at the schools in those areas.

I don't think you're going to see a baby boom in Uptown or Southend. High rise condos and small apartments aren't very conducive to raising children. I suspect most will move out once they start popping out little ones.
