Hi all. I'm a 22 year old looking to move to uptown Charlotte and have begun to look at 1 br apartments, but was hoping someone could give me the scoop on some popular apartment complexes in the area! Approx $600-$850 range would be great!

I am not that familiar with uptown but I know that price range won't get you in any of the good areas of uptown. Are you willing to look in around uptown in upcoming areas if you are unable to up your price range? Or consider a roommate?

I currently live Uptown and am familiar with the market. Unless you plan on having a couple of roommates, that price is not possible. Uptown 1br apartments/condos pretty much start at 1500 (if you are lucky). Usually 1500 will only get you a studio. For under a 1000 you wont find anything near uptown.

You won't be living in Uptown if that is your budget.

Not gonna happen, sorry.

Uptown apts are in the $1000 range and above.

I can recommend some complexes not too far out of uptown you could get in to for closer to that $850 number

I have been following this thread. Can you recommend any complexes? My daughter is 24yrs old and looking for a 1 Bdr in the $850 price range. It's just her and her dog so safety is important too. She works in Ayrsley Town Blvd area but wanting to be close to the social happenings for professionals her age. Any guidance is really appreciated.

You can get a studio in the Post Uptown or Gateway communities for around 850.00. My husband has one there but is moving out in May.
