Help!! We are moving to Matthews in the Prestwick subdivision in 2 weeks & need to know what public high school our children would be going to. We heard it was Sun Valley High School, but one of the realtors mentioned there were some changes & it might be Monroe. Can someone please advise as it seems we can't get a straight answer from anyone.
Thats the link to union county schools assignment fonder. Put in the address. There's also helpful links on what you need to register. That way you can get some of the paperwork ahead of time.

Can't help you with the school assignment, just wanted to let you know something your realtor apparently didn't...you are not moving to Matthews.
Yes, your MAILING address may say Matthews, but that is just because this is the closest post office and your mail will come out of it.
You are moving to Union County, Indian Trail to be more precise, and will be near Sun Valley High School - which is a UNION County school
It would be Sun Valley district. Although, redistricting is frequent in Union county, but no reassignement can bring Prestwick into Monroe district based on its geographical location.

Maybe not Monroe, but Porter Ridge is not out of the question.

yeah, Porter Ridge is closer boundary than Monroe but does not mean at this stage is a slight chance of reassignment. Basically that would be adding entire Indian trail elementary to Porter Ridge. And i see that a remote possibility.
