You would think it by the way some people are talking around here about the "blizzard" that is headed Charlotte's way. Not to stir up a north vs. south thing but all the northerners are like "no big deal" and people with southern accents won't shut up about it. I'd be surprised if there is any milk, bread, or beer left at the stores.
And the funny thing is, the last big snow we had about 3-4 years ago when we got over a foot, all the cars in the ditch had Northern Tags...Ohio, PA, NY!
Thought they could drive in the snow. I use to live near Syracuse and anyone (even Floridians) can drive in the snow, but ice...watch out!
The thing that gets my goat is the local channels school closing and warnings.
I was watching GMA the other day when they was announcing school delays in the mountains and thankfully I got a 32 inch HDTV for Christmas because they shrunk my screen down to 25% A inch on each side was blocked out, 4 inches used for school delays and temperature and time and the station logo. With oine inch below that blocked out.
On top of that GMA has their news ticker going (I dont understand purpose of a ticker if I am watching them to tell me what is on the ticker then GMA logo and time on the screen with Headers to let you know what the topic they are discussing.
Ok I vented lol it would probably be more productive if I sent this info to news organizations of the area.
Btw rumor is the third most popular item sold besides milk & bread is strawberry pop tarts
No bread and milk to be found!
I'm kidding, but people are seriously freaking out. Won't the joke be on us "Northerners" when a massive bizzard does hit...and we have no milk or bread!
I do think that there's a full moon or something strange going on today. Some people have been acting like complete looney-tunes!
Our last big snowstorm in Feb 2004 was supposed to be 2-4 inches...It ended up being 17. I did the logical thing and went to one of the few places open...Tavern on the Tracks which is a Buffalo bar
I was here in Dec 2002 and that was bad enough (ice storm).
mmm....ice
