Hi everyone,
is Charlotte a nice place for a young couple (18, 19) to work?
I'm sure we wouldn't be living directly in the city, but are Jobs plentiful in Charlotte and is it safe?

Allena, jobs here are NOT plentiful - this is a very tight job market because there are so many people moving here and only so many jobs to go around. DO NOT move here until you are sure you have a job, okay? Also, unless you can afford a minimun of $650 a month for rent you will not be in a safe area of Charlotte - $750 to 800. would be better. You may want to look at other smaller cities like Greensboro for more affordable living. Good luck to you.

I remember you guys - you posted a few months back didn't you? Well, I just wanted to wish you well, and make the suggestion that looking at smaller cities really might be the better thing for you guys. Cost of living in safe places in the bigger cities can be very expensive. Last night I told you to check out Greensboro. Also consider smaller cities like Gastonia, Albemarle and Statesville.

Hi,
Yeah that was me posting a short bit back. Albemarle, isn't that where Kellie Pickler is from lol (no offense to anyone, just a joke) I'll check them out on here. Greensboro seems nice, maybe somewhere near the Coast would be the best choice for us but it seems that's a bit expensive for us just starting out in our first place.

Thanks!

You will most likely find living at the coast to be kind of expensive too. And there is a lack of jobs because so many of them are just seasonal. You could also try Greenville - it is a college town so there are many places to rent and the drive to the coast would be just under 2 hours I believe.

County Kerry is one of the most beautiful places on earth and their economy is booming (for now). Why not go back there? Talk about being on the coast!
