I am looking to move to Charlotte next August. So far I have chosen to deal with one Realtor with Wilkinson & Associates. Can anyone give me any information on the reputation of this firm. I would really appreciate it. I plan on doing a visit in late October.

Thanks much

Ha, I actually know the owner but have not seen him in a few years. I remember when he started the business. It's grown a lot and is run by good people. Just like at any agency, it all depends on how hard your individual realtor works for you. The reputation of the agency is good as far as I know, just really communicate with your agent and make sure you feel comfortable that he or she will work hard for you.

Over 600 agents, a lot of which are part time.

There are many good ones that have left national firms because of their favorable commission structures and low monthly overhead.

I actually have a friend who's a realtor with Wilkinson. She's definitely trustworthy.

Please don't use this firm, you will make a terrible mistake

I don't know anything good or bad about Wilkinson & Associates but I can tell you that the AGENT is what is important, not the AGENCY. Real Estate Agents are self employed independent contract workers. You'll find some absolute crooks working in the same agency as some of the most reputable realtors in the business.

I have worked with a few of them and they see stand up people. As stated above its more the Agent than the company.

I am biased of course. Maybe you could give her a solid reason why it would be a mistake?
I can say they do have a lot of agents, so it really does depend on the broker you are using.
